bright
The Solidlights XB2 uses the latest in LED and optical technology to achieve a typical maximum light output from the LEDs of 340 lumens. The beam pattern of the XB2 is tailored to give you a great view of the road ahead as well as picking out hazards and road signs. Click on the tiny graph to see a plot of the XB2's beam pattern.
rugged
The unique Solidlights modular casing is made from custom extruded 6060-T6 aluminium with precision CNC machined end panels and neoprene weather seals, making it seriously rugged. The simple pushbutton control is waterproof, and the secure locking power connector is quick and convenient to use, just like the quick-release handlebar mount.
Because Solidlights contain no glass parts, they can easily cope with the rough-and-tumble of mountain biking or the knocks and bumps of everyday commuting. There's no risk of being left with a burnt out or broken bulb, because the LEDs are rated to last more than 20,000 hours.
Above really is a picture of a Solidlights 1103 being run over by a truck on a tarmac surface, and still working. Click on the picture, or click here, to see a larger view. For the technically minded, the tyre pressure was 27psi.
versatile
There's a whole range of mounting and wiring options to choose from with Solidlights. Mount your light on the handlebars, on a fork crown bracket, or crease your own mounting. Run the light from Shimano or Schmidt dynamo hubs, or choose to use a battery. Even attach the light to your helmet for off-road use.
