rugged
The unique Solidlights modular casing is made from custom extruded 6060-T6
aluminium with precision CNC machined end panels and neoprene weather seals,
making it seriously rugged. The simple pushbutton control is waterproof, and
the secure locking power connector is quick and convenient to use, just like
the quick-release handlebar mount.
Because Solidlights contain no glass parts, they can easily cope with the
rough-and-tumble
of mountain biking or the knocks and bumps of everyday commuting. There's
no risk of being left with a burnt out or broken bulb, because the LEDs are
rated to last more than 20,000 hours.
This really is a picture of an 1103 being run over by a truck on a tarmac
surface, and still working. Click on the picture, or click

was 27psi.
Solidlights contain advanced electronics with microprocessor control to
make the most of the brightness of the LEDs and power of the batteries.
Even though they're sealed within the weatherproof housing, the electronics
have a waterproof coating and are baked dry to keep them reliable.
Solidlights stay bright and efficient even as the battery runs down. To keep
you informed of the battery's state, they feature a low-battery warning. They
even automatically switch to a lower power as the battery runs low, giving
you 10-20 minutes of reserve capacity so you won't get left in the dark by
surprise.
The advanced Lithium Ion technology means that the battery pack can last
for hundreds of charge/discharge cycles. The custom-designed smart charger
and the continuous monitoring performed by the microprocessor in the light
combine to keep the battery in good shape, never allowing it to be over-charged
or over-discharged.
